Get the Creative Juices Flowing

Lets get the creative juices flowing. In class im going to ask you to pick out two topics, any two topics- it doesnt matter what it is- any noun, adj, verb~ Later Im going to pick two topics and youre going to have to draw them.

The composition you draw has to consist of these two topics. (i.e. hat and a cake, snake and a boat, unicorn and a baby)

You can create a character combining the two topics, or you can draw something completely unrelated but hide the two topics in drawing somewhere, or you can just do a study (a 'study' is where you draw the object from many different angels and many times over so that you can later draw that object from memory later)

You can use photoshop, flash, photography, film, ink, charcoal, pastels, paints, pencils, back of napkins- WHATEVER~~ but never stop drawing and never stop bring creative.

When you are done, scan it in or take a photo of your composition and post it HERE as a comment to the post.

Ill post an example and hopefully you will enjoy this! Draw in those sketchbooks <3

Animation Experience Starts Now!

I'd like for you to use this blog in a number of different ways. First and foremost, I'd like you to look at this as an opportunity to do art just for the sake of doing art. You are artists and film makers and I know deep down you all are itching for any excuse to put the pencil to the paper!!

Ill post some fun art topics for you to draw and display on this blog. It gives you an opportunity to begin to put your work on the web, build up your animator's portfolio, and begin to expose yourself to your classmates work.

My TA did this when I was a freshman but it didnt catch on in my class- so I'd like to see if we can really get this blog working!

Let me know if you have any questions or suggestions
